Kindergarten
2 bottles ELMER'S white school glue (8 oz. Size, no gel type)
1 pair safety scissors - Fiskars brand preferred
2 large primary pencils - pre-sharpened
1 pkg. 8 basic color crayons (not the "So Big" variety)
1 pkg. basic colors watercolor markers (no pastels, tropicals, smellies, glitters, etc.)
1 pkg. assorted colors construction paper
1 school box (no extra large size)
1 regular size bath towel for rest (no mats or beach towels) Label clearly.

2 boxes baby wipes (large size)
1 box kleenex tissue (family size)
1 roll paper towels
1 large bottle/jar glitter (gold, red or green preferred)
1 pkg. lunch size paper bags (any color)
1 bottle liquid soap
1 pkg. small size (6 inch) white paper plates (no decorations or
styrofoam)
1 pkg. large size (12 inch) white paper plates (no decorations or
styrofoam)
IMPORTANT FACTS TO REMEMBER:
1. Call the office when your child is sick. It
saves our office staff from calling you.
2. Label all supplies and personal property: coats,
hats, sweaters, rainwear, gloves, etc.
3. Bring no toys from home (unless authorized by
teacher). Toys get broken feelings get hurt. Books and records (properly
labeled) may be brought and shared if requested by teacher.
4. Lunches (including mild) will served. We request the
money be sent weekly or monthly. Monthly purchasing requires less
bookkeeping and saves the teacher and lunchroom staff precious time. Make
your checks payable to Plew Elementary. Extra milk may be purchased. Send
money in an envelope indicating specifically what the money is for, along
with the student and teacher's name clearly written on the outside.
5. School begins at 8:20 a.m. Kindergarten children remain at
school until 2:50 p.m.
6. Please read the handbook and emphasize bus behavior to
your child. Any change in transportation requires a note from parents,
which will be documented by the office staff.
7. Kindergarten conferences are held twice yearly and as
requested by individual teachers. Report cards are sent every twelve weeks.
Please notify the school if you have any change in home or emergency
phone numbers. It is vital we have current phone numbers in the event your
child should become ill.
First Grade
4 boxes of crayons (8 pack only) - one
for each 9 week period
2-8 oz. glue
1 box colored pencils
1 small box #2 pencils
1 small school box for supplies
1 pair of scissors - Fiskars for kids if possible (BLUNT point safety
scissors only)
2 folders with pockets (no prongs)

1 box of sandwich size ziploc bags (boys)
1 box of gallon size ziploc bags (girls)
1 roll of paper towels
1 box of Kleenex
1 Purell soapless, liquid hand cleaner
1 Soft soap
1 package of baby wipes
1 package of 3 white T-shirts (large or extra large children size)
Please label all items with your child's name. Individual
markers and crayons should be labeled also. The school store will
stock these items for your convenience. Purchases can be made at the Open
House. Students will be able to make purchases during the school year from
8:00 - 8:30 a.m.
Second Grade
1 Elmer's school glue

1 box of crayons - 16 county is plenty!
1 metal scissors (FISKARS recommended)
